I was born and raised here in Ventura County, and was brought up in a family
of educators. Both of my parents were teachers, and I knew from a very early
age that I too wanted to teach someday. In pursuit of this goal, I attended
Point Loma University in San Diego, CA, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree
and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I later continued my education at
Azusa Pacific University, where I received my Master’s Degree in Educational
Leadership and an Administrative Services Credential.
After graduation, my husband and I moved to Orange County, where I taught
fourth grade in San Juan Capistrano for several years. When my husband’s job
moved us back to Ventura County, I continued my career teaching second grade,
fourth grade, and fifth grade; most recently in Moorpark. We have enjoyed
being back in Ventura County, and we love living close to our families.
I am so excited to be teaching at MATES this year, and I am thrilled to be
back in fourth grade. Your child’s education is extremely important to me,
and I am looking forward to partnering with you as parents in the educational
process of your child.
