Librarian's Bio
My name is Renee Dake and I am the librarian for MATES. I worked as the librarian for the past three and a half years at Meadows and was a member of the founding Board of Directors for MATES. I am happy to now be part of the new MATES staff. I have one daughter in third grade and another sixth grade daughter who is a Meadows alumnus. I am UCSB alumnus, graduating with a B.A. in Communication Studies in 1990. After working for Chiat Day Advertising in media planning, I went back to school and earned teaching credentials in both regular and special education. I taught at Will Rogers Learning Community in Santa Monica before having children and moving to Thousand Oaks. I feel fortunate to be a part of this amazing new charter school. My goal is to inspire a love of books and reading in our students. Please encourage your child to let me help them find a book that they will enjoy. There is something out there for everyone! I look forward to a fantastic first year at MATES!Back to Top
