On Friday's spelling test, your child will be given the 3 high frequency words and 10 random spelling words from their list. They will also be given 5 additional spelling words that the teacher chooses that they have not had a chance to study. The reason for this is I want to make sure your student is mastering the skill being taught and not just memorizing the list. Research shows that if students are not transferring the knowledge they are learning, then spelling tests are useless. If you have any questions, please feel free to stop by, email or call me.
