What is your grading policy?
Academic grades are based on what the student knows (content) and is able to
do (skills). Points are earned only in this way.
Academic Grades:
A = 100% - 90% (Outstanding)
B = 89% - 80% (Very good)
C = 79% - 70% (Satisfactory)
D = 69% - 60% (Passing)
F = 59% - 0% (Fails  Demonstrates little or no learning)
What is your Homework policy?
Homework is assigned as practice to help master skills
and concepts introduced in class. The more homework is done, the more will be
learned and the higher the grade.
Homework is assigned most Tuesdays & Thursdays. It is due the following day
at the beginning of the period or the day after an absence.
All homework must show the students best effort. It must be legible (very
neatly written or typed) drawings must also be properly colored and labeled.
A paragraph is defined as 4 to 5 sentences.
How are your grades calculated?
Warm-ups/Agendas ---------- 10 points/week
Quizzes ------------------------- 15 - 25 points

What is your policy on late work and extra credit?
The following work policy applies to all students. It is non-negotiable
(cannot be changed) and there are NO exceptions.
Students have one week from when the work was due to turn it in. The highest
grade obtainable for late work is a C. Sloppy work will not be collected.
Students will not be able to make up large amounts of work at the end of any
grading period.
Extra credit is available ONLY if all other work is properly done and
completed on time.
How is the work habit grade figured out?
