My career as an ESL/English teacher started twenty-two years ago at Mark Twain. Since
then, I have taught all levels and grades of ESL in middle school as well as English 6-8. I have
also taught the English component of the Dual Language Program and have
worked to promote bilingual and biliterate education. I am Nationally Board
Certified in the field of ESL, and currently a mentor teacher.
Most recently, I have been trained as an AVID elective teacher and have enjoyed working with my AVID
students as their instructor and co-sponsor of the AVID club.
After work, I love to spend time with my family, travel, and read books!
Creating motivation, encouraging responsibility, and discovering new ideas
clears a pathway towards student's success.
