Homework

Hope you all had a wonderful break.

After the holidays we are beginning our unit on Shakespeare with Nan Black. This will be learning
about several of Shakespeare plays, introducing quotation books and locating a quote within a play.
All this work is done in class.
There will be no vocabulary or show not tell for the first few weeks. I will let you know when it will
resume.
Our new library book génré is historical fiction. You must pick a book from a different part of the
world, Asia, Africa, Europe, South America or the Middle East, than you read for the last historical
fiction book.
book report will be due January 27th.

SHOW NOT TELL - This will be an assignment given weekly (usually), the day before it is due. They
are
given a telling sentence (last week, "The ride was uncomfortable) and then to write a paragraph
using
showing. It is a rough draft, but I do prefer it be typed.

Vocabulary packets are homework and are due on Wednesdays with a 10 minute quiz on Thursday.
These will be weekly with some exceptions. Please check if there is vocabulary homework for the
week.
A website for pronunciation is sadlier-oxford.com/voc. Find your level.
