The Advanced 7th classes are called Pi and the Regular 7th classes are
called e (another irrational number used in math).

Week of November 30:
Three more weeks and then the holiday break! Both sets of classes will have a
group test and test during that period. The e classes will have a group test
on the last half of Chapter 3 during lesson 4 this week. The individual test
will be a week and a half later on that Monday. The pi classes will have a
group test on Chapter 4 next Monday/Tuesday and then an individual test the
Monday following.
I will be out at a meeting for the first half of the day on Thursday. The
kids will have a substitute that day during periods 3 and 5.

Normal schedule this week. The e classes will have a quiz during lesson 3
(Red and Orange on Wednesday, Green on Thursday) on the operations using
fractions and decimals. They will have one question in each operation
(addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using fractions and a
second question in each operation using decimals.
The pi classes will have a retake of the quiz on fraction/decimal operations
on Friday. Same format as the quiz two weeks earlier, but different numbers.
I will only keep the higher of the two quiz grades and throw out the other.

The e classes have an opportunity to retake their Chapter 1 tests after school
on Thursday. They can get a maximum of a 72 on the retake. They should be
sure and study and check in with me before they do it. They also have a quiz
on Fraction/Decimal/Percent equivalencies on Thursday/Friday (last class of
the week). They will be responsible for the procedures of calculating the
equivalencies and should have memorized all the values on the purple sheet.
The pi classes will have a quiz on Friday on
Addition/Subtraction/Multiplication/Division of Fractions and Decimals. The
quiz will also include problems with fractional coefficients and decimal
coefficients.
