I've been teaching in the Mill Valley School District since 1998. For eight
years I taught fifth grade at Park School, and before that I taught sixth
grade for four years in Providence, Rhode Island. This is my third year
teaching at the Middle School. Over the years I've worked with all ages of
students, including spending four years co-creating and co-directing a local
summer program, Turtle Rock Institute.
I grew up in Long Beach. When I'm not teaching, I'm likely with my family,
including my two boys, ages 6 and almost 4.
Do your best, ask for help when you need it, be open, be on time, and share
your thinking with others. We want to be a community of math thinkers and
problem solvers. We also want to be able to crunch the numbers as needed. :)
