Ms. Vakharia is beginning her fourteenth year of teaching music and her third year in the Dixie School
District. This year, she will also be teaching the seventh and eighth grade band. In addition, she serves
as the District's Music Department Coordinator and the Orchestra Assistant Representative for the Bay
Section of the California Association for Music Education
Ms. Vakharia received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Bowling Green State University in
Bowling Green, Ohio. Prior to coming to Miller Creek, she taught band and orchestra at the elementary,
middle, and high school levels in Columbus, Ohio, Odessa, Texas, and Livermore, California.
