Welcome Parents!
Again this school year, the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade math classes were divided into two groups. Mine is the smaller of the two, which allows me to spend more individual time with each student and as a class we can move at a slower pace. It is my goal to complete the math course material, which will be needed for the next grade level. It is also my goal as a teacher to make sure my group of students understand the basic concepts of the math lessons. In math, it is very important to understand each lesson, because each chapter builds upon the previous one. Also, the concepts learned in each grade are important for the math they will be learning the next year.
I am always available for students to receive one-on-one assistance at lunch and recess. I have also conducted some group sessions, by grade, at lunch. You may also call me, set up an appointment after school, or come in at recess/ lunch. I am also offering after school tutoring on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M., by appointment only. There is no charge for this service. You are also welcome to sit in during your student's math class; the hours are listed on the classroom schedule. I appreciate your support. We are both in this together and whatever we can do to facilitate your students understanding of math will not only benefit them now, but will pay dividends towards their understanding in the future.
