Mrs. Janzen is a graduate of St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN where she
majored in piano performance and vocal music education. She holds a
California Single Subject Credential in music and is a member of the
California Association for Music Education, Choristers Guild and Mt. Lassen
Orff Schulwerk Association.
Her professional career began in 1981 when she opened a private piano studio
in Northfield. She taught music at Notre Dame School from 1986 – 1994 and
then returned to Notre Dame in 2001 after a 7-year break to raise her two
young children. Besides teaching at Notre Dame School, Mrs. Janzen has also
served as Choir Director with the Chico Youth Chorus, and at Faith Lutheran
Church and St. John’s Episcopal Church in Chico.
Mrs. Janzen is delighted to participate in the ministry of Catholic school
education and believes that Notre Dame School provides a unique and quality
education that benefits the entire Chico community.
