Mrs. Beyers has been teaching at Notre Dame School for over 30 years. She
lives in Chico with her husband, Scott and their dog Sandoval - Sandy for
short. They also have a cat named Boo, 3 goldfish and 5 chickens. They have
two children - Rachael and Steve - who both went to Notre Dame and had their
mom for a teacher in 5th grade too. Rachael graduated from UC Davis (just
like her mom - go Aggies!)and Steve graduated from Chico State just like his
dad.
Mrs. Beyers favorite subjects are reading, math (42!),and science. She is
passionate about baseball and basketball and rarely misses a Giants or
Kings' game on the television if she can't be there in person. Her
favorite hobbies are bicycling, golfing, gardening, reading, and traveling.
Some of the countries she has visited are Thailand, Ecuador, Peru, and most
recently,Italy.
She is an avid hula and conga line dancer with her students. In high school
she was a cheerleader and her secret dream is to be on "Dancing with the
Stars".
Teaching is not only her career but her love and vocation.
