Krystal Chen Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! It is a great privilege of mine to be teaching your child this year at Oak Creek. I am filled with joy and excitement as I anticipate the great journey ahead of us filled with much learning, growth, imagination and fun! I take great delight in listening to the wonderful stories the children have to share, seeing the world from their perspectives and celebrating their academic and personal accomplishments. They are so precious and a great reminder to me to stay forever young at heart!
I grew up and live in Yorba Linda, CA, but am happy to call Irvine my second home. I am a graduate of the University of California Irvine and have earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (+ CLAD certification) along with a Master of Arts in Teaching. Aside from work, I love to dance, practice yoga, volunteer, spend time with family/friends and relax and reflect over a nice cup of coffee.
I look forward to meeting you and your child and hope to foster an environment that encourages creativity, collaboration and a love of learning!

Amanda Geddes, M.Ed. Welcome to Kindergarten! I am thrilled to be back teaching Kindergarten this school year. I enjoy teaching kindergarten as I feel honored to be a child’s first teacher. I eagerly await the start of school each year because each year holds its wonderful adventures and memories. A child’s first year of school is so exciting and important. I am dedicated to making each of my student’s kindergarten year memorable, and a year full of learning, laughs and growth.
I am a graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development with a minor in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I live in Irvine with my husband Bryan and my daughter London. London was born June 6th 2008. As a family we enjoy going for walks, reading, eating at new and different restaurants and spending time with one another. We love going to Disneyland and the Irvine Spectrum. If you happen to see us there be sure to say "HI!!!" I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each one of you this school year.

Maureen Renden My name is Maureen Renden. Though I have been teaching Kindergarten for many years, I always look forward to each year with great anticipation and joy!
Dr. Seuss had many wonderful insights on life and learning. He once wrote: “Today is your day. Your mountain is waiting. So… get on your way.” This year we will be climbing many mountains together. You will become beginning readers, writers, mathematicians, artists, scientists, and musicians. I am excited to be a part of such a great team, and can’t wait to start our journey together.
“From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere.” Kindergarten is such a magical year because every day is full of laughter, joy and wonder. You will make new friends and experience many new things this year, and “if you keep your eyes open enough, oh the stuff you will learn… the most wonderful stuff!”

Taylor Brooks Welcome to the wonderful world of kindergarten! I am so excited about this year and feel so fortunate to have the amazing opportunity to teach your children. Kindergarten is such a special year of growth and learning. I could not be happier to be teaching kindergarten here at Oak Creek.
I grew up in Irvine and went to elementary, middle, and high school in the Irvine Unified School District. Even though I now live in Rancho Santa Margarita, I will always consider Irvine my home. I am a graduate of UCLA and have earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Azusa Pacific University. When I’m not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and husband Michael. I also like going to the beach, swimming, and exercising. I’m a huge sports fan, and love playing and watching sports. Michael and I have season passes to Disneyland and it’s one of our favorite places to visit.
I know this is going to be such a terrific school year! I am eager to see each one of your children learn so many new and marvelous things.
