Homework

Week of May 21, 2012

Due to CST testing and the shortened periods, at different times of the day,
students were having difficulty focusing. Therefore the in class work was
changed. We all watched the movie, Anne Frank which was an important subject
to at least be able to touch upon if not go into depth with it this year.

Art: Students watched Shrek after the CST and therefore their assignment
this week was changed to an assignment of creating a castle, moat, "monster"
and one room in the castle. Students will work all week. The assignment is
due the end of class for 45 pts. Parts of the assignment may be drawn on
other paper. FRIDAY, MAY 25th students are to bring a photo of themselves
(fairly close up) for 10 points. This needs to be an actual photo or a
print. No cell phone photos because students will be drawing themselves by
using a grid.

Art students: On Thursday night for Open House you may also share your Art
three ring binder OR simply the few art pieces you chose to put in the main
Portfolio.

ENGLISH: ALL MAKE UP WORK IS DUE THURSDAY, MAY 24th by the end of the day.
No late work accepted.

Monday: Still CST testing (no homework)

to determine who is doing what part of the persuasive debate

Periods 1,5,6: Oral Book Report (50 pts)

Thur: Open House tonight. Student led conferences/portfolios
This is not a night to discuss grades with the teachers.
It is a night to celebrate what you have done this year and
to share your work with your parents.

Period 2: Work in group with research that will be provided for
                    students.
Periods 1,5,6: Complete Oral Book Reports (50 pts)
