How can I best communicate with Mrs. Mowry?

I usually check my email at least once a day. I listen to
voicemeail every couple of days. I am out of the classroom an
average of one to two days per month for school or district
business, and while I still try to check my messages it may be up
to three days before I can respond. Please use Zangle to stay
updated on assignments and grades.

Will my child have a lot of homework in U.S. History class?

I support the district's new homework policy, however that does
mean that students need to use every minute of class time in
order to produce a quality assignment. I design assignments
that can be completed in class with possibly an additional 10
minutes of homework time each school night. Please contact me if
your child feels overwhelmed.

When is the best time for my child to talk to you about assignments?

I am almost always available at lunch time or by appointment
after school in my classroom.

Will I be informed if my child is not completing assignments?

The calendar page on this website lists assignments on the due date.
A good way to make sure that work is being completed and turned
in is to check Zangle. If you have any questions or concerns
about your child's progress please feel free to send me a
message.

Do you accept late work?

Assignments are accepted up to one week late for a reduced
grade. Students should talk to me as soon as they know they
won't be able to turn something in on time.
