I grew up in a Spanish-speaking home, being that both my parents are from
Mexico. Growing up bilingual only enriched my interest in the Latin
culture. As a child I taught myself how to read and write in Spanish and
frequently corresponded with family in Mexico. I graduated from Calif.
State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish. After
college, I worked in the business field in the area of Insurance, wherein I
was a Claims Adjuster for 10 years. As a Claims Adjuster I conducted
training classes for the newly hired as well as my peers in the area of
total loss and total theft. I have also successfully completed the CBEST.
This school year will be my 6th year teaching Spanish at Our Lady of Fatima
Parish School.
To develop skills, interest and an appreciation for a foreign language and
its culture in pursuit of life-long learning.
And for the middle school students - to prepare them for an easy transition
into a Foreign Language curriculum in high school.
