Our Lady of Fatima School is a Catholic parish elementary school. 
Our mission is to nurture individuals to discover their God-given gifts,

     St Teresa's Prayer is the prayer that we end our class  with each day.
Feel free to encourage your child to say it at home.

               Let nothing disturb you
               Let nothing frighten you
               All things are passing
               But God never changes
               Patience gains all things
               If you have God you need nothing else.  Amen

  Back to School Notes
      
     Welcome to the new school year.  I am pleased to be your child's 
teacher.
I am looking forward to having a successful school year. Here are a few notes
that you may  find helpful. Remember that you may always contact me a 
slevinson@olfschool.net

    We follow these rules in our first grade
          1. Follow Directions
          2. Finish all your class work
          3. display positive classroom behavior
          4. Show good sportsmanship
          5. Show Self Contorl

  


 
   
  I will also be stressing self-control in the classroom.  I will focus on
specific character count traits. Listening, showing respect for classmates
and teachers, and completing assignments on time.

    
 
 

     Friday Folders- Corrected work goes home on Fridays.  The work will be 
put into a folder.  The folder has a place for your signature.  Please sign 
it.  Take the work out and return the folder on Monday.

     Tests-  I will give spelling or Bible verse tests on Fridays.  I will 
always include basic work that all students are required to do and include
a challenge club activity for those students who would like to participate.

     Reading Logs- Go home home on Mondays homework folder. Any books your 
child reads or you read to them can go on this list.  Bedtime story reading 
is perfect for this activity.  Students who return this log with Friday's 
homework will be given a star card.

    Homework- I do give homework each night.  But once in a while I like to 
have a free play outside with your friends homework night.  No homework on 
Fridays.  Homework should be turned in each morning in the homework basket.
Students should write their own name on their homework and quality work is 
expected.  Pencil only and correct heading is required on all homework
assignments.
    
Share Day- First graders love to share. Each child will have their own day to
share.  They may bring one item or tell something of interest to the 
class.  Share Class will begin the week of September13,011

   There will be no share groups on Monday
 
 Mass- Each Friday we will be attending church.  Please make sure that your
child is wearing the correct uniform for that day.  No shorts or sweat 
shirts.

Birthdays-  Birthday blessings are given.  If you would like to bring a treat
for the class just let me know. The treat should be dropped off in the 
clinic before first recess (10:00)

Library-Library will be on . First graders love to check out books
from the school library.  Please make sure your child returns their book
on time.
