NewsFlash 1

The first graders  will be participating in a new behavior program that will allow them to be
accountable for their behavior.  They will be able to share their behavior choices with their parents each day.

If your first grader comes home with an apple note in their homework folder they had an outstanding faith filled day of listening, following directions, and obeying classroom and playground rules. Congratulations are in order.( Three apples a week earns a prize).

If your first grader comes home with  no note or cards, just their homework in their folder, they had a successful day! This is great!

If your first grader comes home with a yellow card in their homework folder they have been given three warnings throughout the day to listen, follow directions, and obey classroom and playground rules. First graders and their parents will have a warning card to sign and return the following day.

If your first grader comes home with a red card in their homework folder they have used up their three warnings or have demonstrated a behavior that is not faith filled. First graders and their parents will  have a red card to sign and return the following day. First graders will have a writing assignment with the red card that they must complete and return the next day.  If a first grader gets  4 or more red cards in a month I will ask for a conference with  the first grader and their parents.

If a first grader gets a red card on a Friday I will be calling or emailing their parents that afternoon

I am looking forward to giving out many apple notes.  Thanks, Mrs. Levinson
