Catholic schools have been my life. I have graduated from Catholic
elementary and secondary schools. From there, I graduated from Holy Family
College (now University), in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade in Catholic schools in Philadelphia,
for 9 1/2 years. Upon moving to California in 1986, I have taught 4th grade
quite happily at Our Lady of Fatima School ever since. For several years, in
addition
to 4th grade, I have also taught 5th grade Social Studies. I enjoy the
small school setting and the friendly atmosphere of this parish.
I enjoy reading, knitting, baking, going to the beach, and spending fun
times with my family and pets, a box turtle and 4 grandpuppies. Oh, yes, I
also love spending a night each year aboard the brig Pilgrim, in Dana Point
Harbor, with a class of 4th grade students.
Our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is most important
throughout our lives. My goal is that the students may grow in knowledge of
their academic subjects. I pray that my students may deepen their
relationship with Jesus as they continue their journey through Our Lady of
Fatima School. I hope to encourage and nurture each of them to listen,
learn, do their best, and make good choices. May our classroom be a place
of wonderment, acceptance, and joy.
