Wednesday, Dec. 9th - Complete a report card on James Madison (pg. 198) or
complete #1&2 on page 201 with five bullet points.
Tuesday, Dec. 8th - ch. 3 timeline due Wed.
Monday, Dec. 7th - Ch. 3 vocab and Ben Franklin assignment from last week due
Tuesday. Also, pg. 212,1-6 due Tuesday.
Wednesday, Dec. 2nd - Students were given the rubric for the Declaration
assignment due this Friday. Be sure to type it and use the proper prose.
Tuesday, Dec. 1st - Typed Declaration due Friday.
Monday, Nov. 3oth- Declaration of INdependence Project due Friday. Students
will continue to work with their partner tomorrow in class.

Tuesday, Nov. 17th - Prepare for voting project. Due Wednesday. Be ready to
present to the class!
Monday, Nov. 16th - Good job studying for your essay test! Your voting
amendment assignment is due Wednesday. (No class tomorrow due to field trip
to SMCHS.)
Wednesday, Nov. 11th - Add content vocab section 4 to vocab section, and
complete worksheet review for section 14:3 and 14:4. Re-read these sections.
Ch. 14 essay test Monday. Voting poster/ advertisement due Wed.
Tuesday, NOv. 10th - Begin voting amendment poster, complete amendment
worksheet, and study for Monday test (ch. 14). Voting project due next Wed.
and will be presented by students during class period.
Here are your options:
1. Create an advertisement/ poster to encourage voting including:
- a catchy slogan
- should encourage voting participation
- powerful words and images (may use pictures from magazines,etc)
- include amendments
or
2. Create a commercial
- catchy slogan
- 1-2 minutes in length (may be a skit or recording created by you)
- include at least one amendment
Monday, Nov. 9th - Complete timeline for ch. 14. Due Tuesday. Also, study for
ch. 14 test next Monday. Use the amendment study guide. Thank you!
Thursday, Nov. 5th - Complete worksheet on Sharecropping. This worksheet and
the Nobel Peace Prize summary and opinion is due Friday.
Wednesday, Nov. 4th - Define content vocab and important people listed for
ch. 14:section 2 & 3. Complete ch. review questions pg. 654, 5-6 and 9-10.
Question and answer format needed.
Tuesday, Nov. 3rd - Re-read ch. 14: section 3. This is a quick chapter, so
please keep up with reading concepts at home. Complete report card (similiar
to the Clara Barton report card) for either Frederick Douglass pg. 637 or
Charlotte Forten pg. 627. Read, prepare chart, list five leadership
qualities, grade for each, and one sentence of evidence with higher level
vocab words and proper sentence structure. Due Wed.
Wednesday, Oct. 28th - Prepare for ch. 13 test this Thursday
Tuesday, Oct. 27th - Prepare for ch. 13 test.
Monday, Oct. 26th - Test this Thursday. Study guide due Thursday. If you did
not finish the tombstone in class for Lincoln, it is due Tuesday.
Friday, Oct. 23rd - Students received a study guide for ch. 13 test next
Thursday. This will be there only homework for next week. Study guide and
chapter review questions are due Thursday. This test does involve an essay.
Prepare for both essays. You will have one on your test.
Wednesday, Oct. 21st- Re-read sections from chapter 13, study vocab, review
Do Now and notes. In other words, STUDY!!! Do not wait for a test. Vocab for
chapter 13:sections 1-5 should be completed. Due Friday.
Monday, OCt. 19th- You will have a notebook check this week. Make sure it is
organized and all work is hole punched and place behind the correct dividers.
Bread riot worksheet with answers in complete sentences is due Tuesday. Also,
finish the map for this section. The map should include the battles up to
this point, COnfederate States, Border States, Union States, Mississippi R.
and Arkansas R, and a map key. Due Tuesday.
Thursday, Oct. 15- Be ready for quiz on sections Ch.13:2 this Friday. Study
notes, "Do Now" , battle review notes, and re-read sections.
Wednesday, Oct. 14th - Complete ch. review questions and answers on page.
618, #2-7. Due Thursday. Study for Ch.13:section 2 quiz Friday.
Tuesday, OCt. 13th - Finish reading ch.13:section 3 and answer two questions
and write five bullet points for that section. Due Wed. Quiz this Friday on
ch. 13:2 (battles, vocab and important figures)
Monday, OCt. 12th - Finish vocab for section 1-3. Quiz on ch. 13: section 1-2
this Friday. Study!

Tuesday, Oct. 6th - students were given a puzzle to design a flag for the
union or confederacty. They must use symbols and write a key with the symbols
defined on the back of the flag. They may copy the historical flags adding
new symbols, changing colors, or create a new battleflag of their own. The
key must clearly define the meaning of the flag.
Monday, Oct. 5th - Students need to answer the question for ch.13: section 2
reading. Due. Tuesday
Friday, September 25th (Please note the upcoming dates for next week) - Ch.12
end of chapter review questions 2-11 due Tuesday. Killer Angels oral report
due Wednesday. Open note test Thursday.
Wednesday, September 23rd- Tic- Tac- Toe project due Friday. Continue to work
on that, there is no new homework.
Tuesday, September 22nd - Vocab and definitions for Ch.12:3,4&5 due
Wednesday. Continue to work on tic-tac-toe project for Friday.

Tuesday, Sept. 15th - Do research for tic-tac-toe project. Have evidence of

Monday, Sept. 14th - Finish Rome map. Read, take notes, and complete two
questions from section 12:3. Complete WIlliam Lloyd Garrison paper. Due
Tuesday.
Thursday, September 10th- Study for quiz this Friday. Know "do now" facts,
notes, and vocab for sections 1&2. Work on Project.
Wednesday, September 9th- Study for Quiz this Friday. Work on project.
Tuesday, September 8th - Read Ch. 12: Section 1, answer 2 questions and write
five notes. Due. Wed. Section 1 and 2 quiz this Friday. Study notes, Do Now,
and vocab.
Tuesday- Complete postcard assignment. (Guidelines were distributed in
