This is my seventh year at Our Lady of Fatima School! I graduated from
Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Italian
Studies. I spent two semesters abroad during my junior year of college at
Gonzaga University in Florence, Italy. I had a wonderful experience
traveling, learning the language, and eating. I am a product of a Jesuit
education and am proud to be a Zag!
After university, I worked in Seattle at Howard Johnson and Company as a 401K
consultant. Upon returning to California, I worked at Ingram Micro on various
projects including translating (now my Italian is not as good). I changed
courses, found my favorite fourth grade teacher, Patty McMahon, and I decided
to go into teaching. She later became my master teacher and friend.
While attaining my credential, I had the privilege of working as a long term
sub, summer school teacher, and intervention teacher for CUSD. My job
assignments included K/1 combination, 1/2combination class, 2nd grade, 3rd
grade, homeschool teacher for physically disabled student, and K-5 full time
resident substitute at Wagon Wheel Elementary. I also worked as a substitute
for grades K-12 at AFNORTH (Air Force North) School on the NATO base in the
Netherlands. I earned my Multi-Subject Teaching Credential with CLAD from
National University. I now hold a CLEAR credential.
I am very happy to be a part of the Fatima family. During my time here, I
have taught 3rd grade, K-8 science, 6th grade, and MAP. I like teaching all
grades!
Aside from teaching, I enjoy dancing, reading, traveling, cooking, driving
PCH with no destination in mind and eating nutella at any hour. My motto:
Have suitcase, will travel.
Happy New (School) Year! I am glad you are here.
