  THIS ASSIGNMENT IS DUE ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH.
Four Ways of Praying
Assignment
1.	Using the chart given out in class, write a Prayer of Thanks 
a         Prayer of Contrition (sorrow), a Prayer of Petition asking),       
Prayer of Praise.  Make sure your prayers have
•	An opening that addresses God by name.
•	A phrase that indicates the type of prayer you are writing.
•	A statement of sorrow, thanksgiving, praise, or petition for a 
specific thing (see example below).
•	A closing.
2.	Create a booklet using these prayers using any media you choose 
(technology, artistic expression)
•	One prayer on each page.
•	Decorate each prayer in an artistic, colorful, and meaningful way.
•	Include your name and the title, “Four Ways of Praying,” on the cover 
of your booklet.
•	The booklet can be any size you want.
•	Use typing paper or any other kind of unlined paper (no lined binder 
paper). 

Example
Prayer of Petition
Merciful Father and Comforter of the sick,( -----Addressing God by name)
I ask you to be close to all those who are suffering both in body and spirit.

Give them the strength and courage they need 
to get through their fear and pain and loneliness.(-----Specific thing I am 
asking)
I ask this through your Son, Jesus, who suffered and died that we might all 
live.(------Closing)
