Hello,
Welcome to you child’s 6th/7th/8th grade year at Our Lady of Guadalupe School.
Junior High is an exciting time for all of us as we work together to guide
your child towards high school.
This is now my second year as the 6th grade teacher here at OLG, and my
seventh year as a junior high school teacher! I am glad to be back here after
a busy, but restful summer. I am looking forward to a great year. This year I
will be teaching history to 6th, 7th and 8th grades, in addition I will be the
Religion teacher for the sixth graders and I will be splitting the 7th and 8th
grade math classes with Mrs. Hughes.
For those of you who don’t know me yet let me tell you a little about myself.
I started my teaching career here at OLG as the 8th grade teacher. I left for
three years to teach in Tracy, and Concord, and returned here to be the Junior
High history teacher. I graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2000 with
a BA in Philosophy and minors in History and Psychology. After graduation I
started working as a salesman for Gallo Wine in San Jose and Santa Clara. I
graduated with my Credential from the University of Phoenix in Pleasanton in
2003. I hope that my strong social science background will help me to be a
great History teacher for your students.
