Ocean Institute


   Our End-of-The-Year Field Trip will take place in May 2012.  Specifics about the trip and other important information will be discussed at our Back-to-School Night.  We will be going to the Ocean Institute in Dana Point to relive the adventure of traveling to California to become a '49er in the Gold Rush.  Our trip involves role play and lots of hands-on learning aboard a sailing ship.  It is a full day (7AM to 6:30PM) trip and is a wonderful experience for the students!   Thank you.

I am allowed to take four chaperones on the field trip on May 18th. If you are interested, please send in a note. If more than four people respond, I will have a lottery to choose chaperones. Please be aware that we will be leaving the school at 7:00A.M. and returning around 6:30P.M. Chaperones are also requuired to pay the per person cost of the trip. More information will be sent home next week. Thank you!

Thank You to all the parents who donated their time and goodies for our last Bake Sale/Pizza lunch on Friday.  Once again, the fourth grade parents came through to make our fundraising event a success that benefits the whole class!  Proceeds from our sale brought the final per person cost for the Ocean Institute trip to $52.00.  That's a $20 decrease from the original estimate!  Payment is due on Wednesday, May 16th.  Having the payment on Wednesday is important since the Ocean Institute has to receive the balance due before our scheduled trip date.
