Room 23 – Mrs. Sagud
Hello! My name is Roberta Sagud. This is my 33rd year in the teaching
profession! My husband and I live in Irvine with our youngest son, Jeff (25
yrs – musician/student) and our Golden Retriever, Abbie. Our oldest son,
Scott (27 yrs.), lives in San Francisco and works as a designer for the Levi
Strauss clothing company. In my free time I enjoy boating with my family and
going to the theater. I am looking forward to a fun year with all of the
wonderful second graders at Plaza Vista!
Room 24- Mrs. Smith
Hi! I’m Christy Smith. I am married to Mr. Smith and I have 2 daughters,
Brianna and Nicole. Brianna is a Senior at Irvine High and she’s the
captain of the Varsity cheerleading team. Nicole is a Sophomore at Irvine
High and she is a co-captain on the Junior Varsity cheerleading team.
In my free time I like to spend time with my family and my two dogs, Storm
and Sierra. I love to travel, shop, watch my daughters cheer and watch
football. My favorite color is pink and I love dark chocolate!
Room 22- Mrs. Hart
Hi! My name is Sara Hart. My husband and I live in Lake Forest with our
Golden Retriever puppy, Monty. In my spare time I love to read, knit, go for
walks, go out to dinner, and play with Mr. Hart and Monty. I have always
been involved with music and currently ring handbells. One of my favorite
things is sharing books and reading with boys and girls. I look forward to a
spectacular year in second grade.
Room 25 - Ms. Busch
Hi! My name is Laura Busch. I am a California native, and a graduate of
UCI.
This is my eleventh year teaching second grade at Plaza Vista. I have five
children. My oldest, Joe graduated from U.C.S.D. in mechanical engineering
and is a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala. Katherine is a Chinese Linguist,
living in Oahu. Marygrace is an Art student, still in college. Clare graduated
from Boston University last June, and is currently in Istanbul studying
Turkish. Jimmy is a biology student, and lives at home with me. I also have
two dogs, Chloe and Benji. I love second grade!
Room 21 - Mrs. Thompson
Hi! I'm Kelly Thompson. I live in Lake Forest with my husband and two cats,
Kobe and Hailee. I grew up in Irvine and am a proud IUSD graduate. I got my
bachelor's degree in nutrition from CSULB and my teaching credential from
UCI. My favorite part about teaching at Plaza Vista are the students! I enjoy
making them laugh and teaching them new things.
