FAQ

  1. Do I have to write in cursive?
  2. Will I have nightly homework in History and/or Science?

Do I have to write in cursive?

Yes! All students are expected to take notes in cursive. You
will be taught important notetaking skills: writing in short
phrases and using your own words, which will help you write
faster. When printing words, students must lift the pencil after
EACH letter. When writing in cursive, the pencil is not lifted
until the end of EACH word!
The only exception to writing in cursive is when you are labeling
maps.

Will I have nightly homework in History and/or Science?

No and Yes! Homework regarding vocabulary important to
the understanding of an ancient civlization or Science topic will
be given at the beginning of every unit.
Understanding where an ancient civilization existed on a map will also be
assigned at the beginning of each new History unit. Maps not completed
in class will be completed as homework. No other nightly
homework will be given; however, students are expected to study
their notes NIGHTLY in order to be ready for quizzes and tests.
