| Weekly Family Homework
Homework will be sent home each Wednesday in the "Wednesday Folder" and will
be explained in my weekly newsletter. These assignments are due back the
following Monday. Our homework is intended to give the children fun, hands
on practice of some of the skills they are learning in class. It will usually
consist of a game, activity or worksheet.
Homework Journal
Our students will keep a homework journal throughout the school year. Each
week, they will "write" on the topic of the week, highlighted in the weekly
newsletter. At first the children will simply draw a picture on the topic
and they will dictate the words to the parent to write down, but as the
school year progresses and our student's writing skills improve, the children
will be writing their own words to go with their illustrations!
