Many of the topics in second grade were introduced in first grade. We try to
solidify these concepts to mastery and build on them with higher order
thinking skills and problem solving. We really focus on reading skills for
enjoyment, comprehension, and understanding directions. These are the skills
that are needed for all areas of the curriculum, and for building positive
educational experiences for the future.
