Community Participation

Community Participation is mandatory for completion of Economics and
American Government courses. Seniors must complete 6 hours EACH Semester
of civic participation through city council meetings, school board
meetings, rallies, community forums, etc. Please see me to get prior
approval for activities not discussed in class.
  1. What do I need to complete in order to earn my 6 hours of credit?
  2. Where do I go for a city council or school board meeting? I have no idea where I am going.
  3. I lost my form! What do I do now?
  4. When is first semester Community Participation Due?
  5. What is the Second Semester Deadline for Community Participation?

What do I need to complete in order to earn my 6 hours of credit?

Where do I go for a city council or school board meeting? I have no idea where I am going.

Advance planning is very important. Specific addresses are
available in the classroom. Also, use google.com and click on
MAPS for assistance in locating a particular meeting site.

I lost my form! What do I do now?

Go back to my home page and Click on the Economics Handouts page.
Find the Community Participation form and print a copy...but not
in my classroom. Sorry.
However, if you lost a signed form from an event, you will need
to make up the event. It is your responsibility to keep track of
the documentation! Turn in forms as soon as you complete event.
