To tell you a bit about myself personally, I have a wonderful family
that consists of my husband, Jim, two children, Andrew & Diana, and a dog, a
dachshund named Max. We have lived in Murrieta since 2003, but I grew up in
Orange County. My children are young adults in their 20's already! Where did
the time go!
Professionally, I have a Masters of Science degree in Elementary
Reading and Math earned in 2008 and a Bachelors of Science with a major in
Child Development earned from Cal State Fullerton in 1986. I received my
Teaching Credential from University of California, Irvine shortly thereafter.
For just over 10 years, I taught in the Orange County Irvine Unified School
District until we moved to the beautiful Temecula Valley in 2003 and started
teaching in TVUSD. I have taught all grades K-8th at some point in my career
with most of my experience being in 5th grade. Currently, I am a participant the Algebraic Project; a
three year collaboration between TVUSD, Lake Elsinore district, and San Diego State University. The
project is an opportunity to enhance algebraic thinking, reasoning, and understanding for students in
3rd thru 12 grade. Previously, I was a participant of a Science & Technology grant that has provided
updated tools for our classroom increasing room 20’s access to and use of technology in all content
areas, particularly Science.
I love teaching as each year presents new challenges and fulfillment. I feel
honored to be part of the Rancho team, as it is a highly-regarded school with
a fantastic staff in a lovely community filled with wonderful, kind &
supportive families who have a strong value of education. I know how
fortunate I am to be here and to be your child’s teacher this year. Let's make it a stupendous year
together!!!

My mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment which promotes
responsibility and accountability in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere that
encourages the love of learning in a team effort with parents because I
believe all children can, want and deserve to learn as much as they possible
can in a respectful, child-centered, and individualized classroom that I
have the passion to create.
