Previously reported homework policy:
Fourth grade homework is fairly consistent each week with only occassional
changes. Homework is designed to be completed in about 45 minutes, Monday
through Thursday. Math is usually one page from the orange Scott Foresman
Homework Practice Book or a practice test prior to the Chapter test. Spelling
practice each night including a practice test on Thursday, and fluency
reading practice with recording on the two week reading log.
When building reading comprehension, vocabulary,
and math reasoning,have your child read nightly and
limit their TV and video game access to one hour per week.
Weekly spelling words and vocabulary words can be found in the bi-weekly
newsletter. Just click on the "newsletter/photos" tab at my TeacherWeb.com
site and you'll find the words listed for each selection for that two week
period. Spelling words can also be found on your child pre-test in their
yellow take home folder. BB
