Change
We all experience change everyday; what to wear, what to eat, and what to do.
Sometimes its all the same familiar ways and it feels oh so comfortable.
Othertimes, change is hard and difficult.
Someone once told me, there are some things we just cannot change in life,
but we can change how we relate to it. I choose happy!
I injured my knee last year during a fire drill and have had several flare
ups. This last one has caused a lot of pain but most importantly, it has made
me unsteady on my feet. For this reason, we felt it best a short term sub
come into the class and care for the children while I heal. There may be
surgery involved, but whatever the final treatment will be, I will come back
to the class in better shape to take care of the children to my best
abilities.
The person was hand selected by the principal and district office, so she is
fantastic. But since we are two distinct people, she will run things that
best fits her teaching style, so there will be some changes to expect. It
doesn't mean its wrong, just different.
I know you will support her as you have supported me. But please help the
children adjust as well so they know it is okay to love her and not feel
guilty that they are caring for her. What we want at the end of the year are
happy children ready for third grade. The roads chosen to get there don't
matter as long as the end of the journey is the same.
Until we meet again, hugs...
