How can I support my child at home?

Constant communication with your child is the very
best way to support her/him. Nothing will have greater impact than knowing
that you are ready to listen to how s/he is feeling about school in both its
academic and social aspects. Setting aside time each day to talk about
school, read notes and handouts and reviewing homework is ideal. Reading
with and to your fourth grader several times a week will improve his/her
fluency and comprehension. Talking about good books is a great way to get
close to your child!

How can I contact the teacher?

There are several ways this can be done. You can write a note and send it
with your child or e-mail me at aarmenta@egusd.net. I will respond to you
within the same day. If you wish to speak to me directly, phoning after 2:35
pm is preferable. If you are calling during instructional time, a message
will be taken and placed on my box.
