French 1A/1B Homework Policy

Unless specified, homework is due the day after it is assigned.

Some assignments will be graded on completion, some on accuracy. I will
generally choose at least one assignment per week to grade on accuracy, and
students will not be told in advance which assignment. Some assignments will
be graded on the accuracy of the student's own self-corrections.

Late homework:

Homework is due the day after it is assigned unless otherwise specified. Most
late assignments will receive 90% credit if turned in by the Monday following
its due date, and 70% credit if turned in by a week before the end of the
semester. Some assignments will be graded on completion, others on accuracy.

If you need an extension:

From time to time things come up which make it difficult to turn in
assignments on time. If you know that you will not be able to complete an
assignment on time, you must contact me (by email or in person) and ask for an
extension by 8:15am the day the assignment is due. Please make sure your
excuse is valid and you may be asked to provide a parent note. However, it is
the STUDENT'S responsibility to ask for an extension, and the request must be
made by the student, NOT the parent.

On longer term projects, you must contact me to ask for an extension by 8:15am
the day before the assignment is due. As with daily homework, the request
must be made by the student.
