Do students have to show their work in math?

YES, always!!!!!  Even work done with a calculator can be shown, 
and I model it in class. This is a requirement of all math
teachers at Richardson Middle School.

Yes.

How can I find out what homework my child has?

There are multiple ways to find assignment information.
1. Students are responsible for writing assignments in their
planners every day when they are assigned, and the due dates for
long term assignments are to be recorded.
2. There is a list of all assignments at the end of Wing C on the
bulletin board.
3. Homework, long-term assignments and general information are
available on this website.
4. Students are encouraged to have a Study Buddy to call when
they need to find out what happened in class.

How long do I have to make up work when I am absent?

Students with excused absences have until the Monday following 
their return from an absence to turn in make-up work for full
credit.
Tests/quizzes are to be immediately made up or the student must
talk to the teacher to make arrangements the day they return.
***It is the STUDENT'S responsibility to get the assignments and
make up tests/quizzes.

What is the latest I can turn in 'late' work?

The 6th Grade Policy is:
Partial credit can be earned for work turned in the next school
school day following the due date. NO CREDIT will be earned
after the 2nd school day.

Can I re-take a test or quiz?

As written in the Course Outline, there are no re-takes.
