I grew up in the South Bay and graduated from Narbonne High School, LA
Harbor College and Cal State University Dominguez Hills. I did my student-
teaching assignments in Torrance Unified and LAUSD, and chose to work in
TUSD. I was interviewed by a panel which included Dr. Richardson (then
Superintendant of TUSD). I was fortunate to be chosen to be a member of the
team to reopen Newton (renamed Richardson M.S.) in September of 1993. And,
I've been here ever since! I have taught 6th and 7th grade Math and English,
Pre-Algebra, and 6th grade Health, Science, Computers, Art and IFL.
I graduated from Walden University in June 2008 with an M.S. Ed. in Middle
Level Education.
I live with my husband, two children and our puppy in Torrance.
To instill a love of learning and pride in work well done in my students,
thus doing my part in creating a community of lifelong learners.
