I have been a teacher in many different capacities since 1993. I obtained
my Multiple Subject Credential and my supplemental English Teaching
Credential at the University of California at Santa Barbara, where I also
received my bachelors degree. I started teaching in elementary school for
Saugus Union School District and taught 1st, 5th and 6th grades. I went on
to have 3 children and wanted to be at home with them so I worked as a
teacher for an online school that was K-8th grade. When the Virtual High
School opened up I became the Master Teacher of the High School and acquired
an interest in both secondary education and administration. So I received
my Masters in Educational Management at the University of LaVerne. I
supervised student teachers for Hart District and have been teaching a
college course for University of Phoenix online. I returned to the classroom
at the secondary level, as a job share assignment for 8th grade English here
at Rio Norte. I am thrilled to start off this next year full time with three
Rio Verde 8th Grade English classes and an ELD, and Reading Lab.
