Mrs. Benner's News and Notes: February 7-17Starting Friday, I'll be out for a week if all goes well. Mrs. Hartman will be here while I'm away. She's a great sub and the kids will be in good hands. Here's what will be going on in the next 2 weeks. If there is an urgent matter, please call the office. If you have a non-urgent matter, I will be checking my email while I'm at home or Miss Julie will be here. 1. Our Valentine's Day party will be on Tuesday, February 14 from 1:45-2:25 p.m. I sent home a letter with all of the student's names if you would like to bring in Valentines. There are 23 students in the class so if your student wishes to bring Valentines and/or a snack, they should have enough for all of the students. Please feel free to have your students bring in snacks. Please NO cake. Cupcakes are fine, but nothing that will have to be cut and dished out. The kids will be decorating a bag to bring home all their goodies. 2. Scholastic book orders are on their way. I will be sending out another set of order forms that will be due on Friday, February 24. 3.Library is still on Wednesdays, please be sure your student brings their book. 4. Progress reports and deficiency notices were sent home on Monday, Feb. 6. I would like to get all of them signed and returned by this Thursday, Feb. 9 before I leave. -
