Hello from First Grade! Some reminders/information:

Thursday, Nov. 10th: We will visit the Scholastic Book Fair. If you want your child to buy a book, please send in some money.

Every Thursday: Library books are due.
- Friday, Nov. 11th: Veteran's Day. NO SCHOOL!
- Monday, Nov. 14th: $3 per student due for the Thanksgiving Feast - The feast includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn muffins, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, applesauce, candied carrots, a beverage, and pumpkin pie, all made by the students from scratch! Each child will have a delicious wholesome meal all for less than the cost of a Happy meal.
- Tuesday, Nov. 15th at 6pm: First Grade Parent Academy - More information to come. We will be hosting an informative, educational night to help parents better understand the reading curriculum and how to help your child with his/her reading. We will also share online resources and other resources for ways to keep your child's skills sharp over the long winter vacation!
- Wednesday, Nov. 16th: We will be making pumpkin pies!
- Thursday, Nov. 17th: Thanksgiving Feast
- Friday, Nov. 18th: Minimum Day. Dismissal at 12:30.
- Nov. 19th - Jan. 2nd: WINTER VACATION
- Jan. 3rd: We return to school.
