Dear Parents,
Teacher Appreciation week was awesome! Thank you for your consideration.
3 Grade level AR tests must be taken and passed by 6/7. Students have been
aware of this deadline since the beginning of the trimester and are aware of
the library hours. This assignment is worth a test grade.
English-Adverbs test will be on Thursday. Study information will be given in
class.
Literature - We will meet on Tuesday from 12:30-12:45 to discuss Lizzie Bright
chapter 1-5. This is a difficult book and I have suggested that students
bring their copy of the book home to reread and read ahead if necessary.
Summer Skills-It is hard to believe that summer is already upon us. Summer is
a great time to relax from all the hard work we have been doing throughout the
school year. It is also a time, if we are not careful, to lose the skills
that we have acquired. That is why it is recommended that students not only
fulfill their incoming 7th grade reading requirements (to be posted soon) but
also actively engage in skill maintenance activities. I have used and
recommend skills books purchased through summerskills.com, but any similar
books through Costco or Barnes and Nobles would be suffice. This message will
stay up here for the remainder of the year and I will be sending a copy home.

Vocabulary Resource-
Go to this website http://www.sadlier-oxford.com/vocabulary/ and find the
levels A-H (middle and high school) Online Component Center. Here you will
find games and online activities to practice weekly vocabulary units. We are
level A.

Gradelink-Not only is Gradelink a great tool for parents, but it is also a
great tool for teachers as well. If a student is absent the assignment will
be listed as a zero or �incomplete� until the assignment is turned in.
Once I have received the assignment it will be graded accordingly.
