Mrs. Gastelum:
I am starting my 24rd year at St. Hedwig and still love it, like it was
my first. I have been teaching in the Diocese for 35 years. I have been
married to my loving husband, David for 36years and have a son,Michael.
Our son,Michael is in the Army Reserves. He came home in July after being
in Iraq for a year. We will be having a wonderful and simple wedding Michael
and Claudia in September.
My husband and I enjoy taking short trips. Last year,we went to Bryce and
the Valley of Fire. Besides my husband, my loves outside my classroom are our
basset hounds:Toby,Jordyn,and Sara.I scrapbook and do projects around the
house I grew-up in. I have also taught 3rd and 5th grades at other schools.
I love teaching First graders because it is wonderful to see them
grow so much in a short amount of time. Community is an important part of our
St. Hedwig family.
All children learn differently...and we get to see the daily growth !

Miss Gomez- Room 1a
Hello! My name is Miss Dana Gomez and I am so excited to be a part of the St.
Hedwig Family! I was raised in West Covina, Ca and attended Catholic school
for many years. I graduated from St. Christopher's K-8 school in West Covina
and then St.Lucy's High School in Glendora, Ca. I recently graduated from
Cal State Long Beach where I recieved my BA and multiple subject teaching
credential. I love first grade and feel very blessed and honored to be a
part of your children's lives! This year will be full of many fun and
exciting things!
