Dear Families,
Just a reminder that the greeting card orders are due at the end of this
week! It's a great fundraiser for the school, and a super way to share your
child's artwork with others.
On Tuesday, Nov. 24, both Kindergarten classes will have a feast in honor of
the first Thanksgiving. We will prepare our own food and enjoy a big feast.
Here is the timing: Our students will prepare the meal from 8:45 - 9:45,
then break for recess (light snack - if any - that day). We will then come
in at 10:30 dressed as Native Americans and Pilgrims and share the meal
together with K-2. On the menu is Friendship Salad (fruit salad), cornbread
muffins and homemade butter, popcorn, a cornucopia dessert, and apple juice.
This feast can only be a success with parent helpers!!! Please look for a
volunteer sign-up for part of all of the morning. We will need helpers to
prepare the meal, set up the classroom during recess, and during the feast.
I look forward to seeing at our parent conference. Since they are only
fifteen minutes long, I would appreciate everyone on time so we don't get
backed up. :)
