-School-wide writing program of the writing process and different genres.

C. Detention Policy
-After school one hour Wednesday.
-Parent notified in advance.
III. HOMEWORK
A. Not to exceed one hour.
-Homework will be assigned and corrected in class.
-Homework is written on board each day.
-Students should write down homework each day in their homework planner.
-All homework is done and kept in his/her individual notebook.
-Social Studies tests on Thursday. Spelling test every Friday.
-Unit Tests in other subjects when lesson completed.
-Special projects at times.
B. Student ability varies. Contact teacher regarding concerns in this area.
I am available after school to assist with work or answer questions.
IV. MISCELLANEOUS REMINDERS
A.Proper Uniform Attire and School Procedures - See Handbook Online.
B.Absent Note Required
-Return to class after being absent with a note.
-Marked absent unless signed note by doctor or dentist.
-Sign in and out in Health Room when leaving campus for an appointment
or any other reason.
C. Snacks
-Not allowed on the playground.
-Healthy nutritious snack before recess.
-Take forgotten lunches to the Health Room.
D. Cell Phone Policy
-Students may not call home for books, P.E. shorts, rides, etc.
-Cell phones are not allowed on campus at anytime before or after school.
-Cell phones must be left in the office and picked up at the end of day,
if you wish your child to have a cell phone when leaving the school
premises.
For a successful year, your student must give his/her full cooperation,
effort, and proper classsroom behavior.
Students are responsible for:
1. Constructive classroom participation.
2. Completing homework assignments.
3. Studying for exams.
4. Having all proper materials.
5. Appropriate conduct for maximum learning environment.
I feel that it is very important to keep the channels of communication
open between parent and teacher. Please feel free to contact me anytime
