This Week in PE

 
 
Welcome Back Celtics!

Mr.Capp and Mrs. Carr wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year.   Physical 
education is MORE than running, calisthenics, or sport.  It is a total 
movement experience that focuses on FUN, INVOLVEMENT, CHARACTER, SELF-
ESTEEM, HEALTH, FITNESS AND TOTAL WELL-BEING for our students.  

This Week in P.E. with  Mrs. Carr (Grades 1-3):  

For the month of January, we will be moving on to Rhythms and Movements 
skills as well as jumping and landing skills.  Spark games will reinforce 
this concept.  100 Exercises along with the mile and half mile will also be 
incorporated into our daily workout.     

This Week in P.E. with Mrs. Carr (Grades 4-8): 

For the month of January, we will be finishing up our Basketball unit. Then 
we shall move on to Spark Nutrition.    

January Spark Personal Best Day (Grades 4-8)    

Spark activity sheets for the month of December and January are due in their 
health folders at the end of January.

            

Thia week in P.E. with Mr. Capp (Grades K&1): We will be starting the 
Cooperative game “Jump and Landing”. The objective of this game is to 
develop agility, balance, rhythm, timing and endurance.  

This week in P.E. with Mr. Capp(Grades 2&3): We will be starting The 
Cooperative game “Speedball”. The objective of this game is to develop 
agility, balance, rhythm, timing and endurance.    

This Week in P.E. with Mr. Capp (Grades 4-6): We will be finishing up our 
Basketball unit. Then we shall move on to Spark Nutrition.    

This week in P.E. with Mr. Capp (Grades 7&8): We will be starting the 
Cooperative Game “Hocker”. The objective of this game is to develop agility, 
endurance, teamwork and timing.     

January Spark Personal Best Day (Grades 4-8)         

100 Exercises along with the mile and half mile will also be incorporated 
into our daily workout.
