Ms. Flynn in a Nutshell

Hi everyone. Thanks for taking the time to check out my website. I'm so
thankful for the opportunity to teach here at St. Hedwig and I know we are
going to have a great year.

This is my 11th year teaching middle school. This year I am teaching both 7th and 8th grade History,
and 7th grade Religion.

I received my BA in Law and Society from UC Santa Barbara. I attended Law
School at the University of San Diego. I went through the Chapman University
teaching credential program and two years ago received my M.S.Ed. In Curriculum,
Instruction and Assessment from Walden University. I guess it goes without
saying that I love school! My goal is to foster that same love of learning
in all of my students.

I live in Long Beach, my hometown. I have a daughter who is a freshman at Chico State and son who
attends OCHSA. I have been skiing and surfing all my life, and love to
spend time relaxing with my family at the beach and in the mountains. I took up the sport of
stand-up paddling a couple of years ago and have been competing in several races a year. I
am also an avid reader and movie buff.

I hope this gives you an idea of who I am and what is important to me. I
hope to learn as much about the students as the year goes by.

Love of Learning

To help students find their passions, to develop their understanding of the
world and their place in it as a global citizen, and to teach each student so
that they may develop a love of learning.
