Recycling: Please remember to recycle aluminum cans, plastic bottles (no milk containers), and glass bottles to help raise money for our class service projects. The next project involves making fleece tie blankets for Project Linus. We will make tie blankets for kids that are experiencing trauma in their lives or are in the hospital. Our St. John students have done a wonderful job recycling these materials. Thank you for your support!
Thank you for the quilt designed with all of the Square One Art that was given to me on my birthday. It is beautiful!
Mass is on Tuesday Remember to wear full dress uniform!
Science experiments Ms. Raczyla has an exciting unit on rocks planned for our students in science. In order to perform all of the experiments and hands on activities involved with this unit, she is in need of some materials. Please visit the "Wish List" on our website to see if you can help donate any of the items. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Valentine exchange Students are allowed to bring in Valentines for their classmates. We have 29 students in our class. Please do not put "Who" the card is to just the name of the sender. If your child would like to bring in Valentines, he/she must bring in one for every student in the class. We will be decorating brown bags to use as mailboxes on Tuesday. Students are also allowed to wear a red or pink shirt, Valentine socks and accessories with uniform bottoms and shoes on Tuesday. Instead of a celebration, both 4th grade classes will be making the fleece tie blankets for Project Linus.

This year, the school is in dire need of white copy paper. If your family is able to donate a ream of copy paper, please send it it school beginning on Monday, February 13th. We will be collecting reams of paper for Our Lady School until February 27th. Please read the weekly school newsletter for more information. Thank you for your generosity!
Our next whole class novel Please make sure your child has a copy of the book By the Great Horn Spoon for our next whole class read aloud novel. We will begin reading this book March 1st. If you don't already have a copy, please don't wait until the last minute to get one. The local book stores usually sell out quickly!
