About The Teacher

Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year.

This is my fourth year teaching at St. Norbert Catholic School. I have a
great passion for education, both as a teacher and a student, and hope to
share the enthusiasm with my students. I look forward to instilling a long
lasting love for education and faith in every student while building a
constructive learning community. This year I am excited to take on a new role
as Technology and Spanish teacher for grades K through 8. I do hold a
bilingual teaching credential from Chapman University and am thrilled to be
making great use of it. I have always been fond of technology and I cannot
wait to teach (and learn) new things this year in the lab.

Prior to St. Norbert I was at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles where I taught
math to grades 3 through 5 and science to grades 4 through 8, both part time
and full time. I grew up in Southern California and attended Cerritos
Community College where I earned an Associates of Arts in General Studies in
2002. I then attended California State University Dominguez Hills where I
earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Sociology in
2004. Lastly, I graduated from Chapman University in 2008 where I earned a
Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master of Arts in Teaching.

In my spare time I love to bake, cupcakes are my specialty! I also enjoy
scrapbooking and spending time with my family. Although recently I haven't
found much time for hobbies with the addition of my son, Joaquin, to our
family :)

Please feel free to contact me at anytime for questions or concerns through
the school office or email aholguin@stnorbertchurch.org. Thank you in advance
for your support and cooperation.
