Homework

Monday through Friday
May 31 - June 4

Monday - Memorial Day
Tuesday - Chapter 16, Section 2
Wednesday - Chapter 16, Section 3
Thursday - Remember the Titans
Friday - Remember the Titans

NOTE: Basically, when we are working out of the text we will be doing one
section out of the student text every
one to two days.

Generally speaking, homework in my class is an extension of work that has
not been completed during the class period. Students who work quickly and
independently will usually have minimum homework depending on the
situation and unit being studied. Below is a general outline of the
sequence of assignments for an individual section of a chapter.

     1. Lecture/Outline material covered in section (take notes).
     2. Read section
     3. Worksheet on assigned readings
     4. Define Vocabulary Terms for that section (extra-credit)
     5. Chapter Pretest
     6. Chapter Test

If a student misplaces their worksheet for a section they can make it up by
answering the Reading Check questions, the Geography/Analysis questions, and
the Section Assessment questions for that section. The worksheets are easier
so encourage them to stay organized.

Should a student be absent on the day of a lecture they can
choose from the following in order to get credit when we collect the notes:

1. Copy the notes from a classmate
2. Outline the missing section (use standard outline form)
3. Answer the Section Assessment questions at the end of the section.
