February's Book Report
This month we will be reporting on a biography. This is a book about another person. Students will need to read a book and do the report & project for full credit. The report & project will be due Thursday, February 26.
Spelling
M-4 times each in cursive
T- Sentences
W- Definitions
Th-Ordering, classifying, spelling book
F- Test
Literature
Weekly stories will be read in class and at home. Each story is paired with a reading skill to help students be stronger readers & thinkers in the English language. Work may come from many sources, including: The Interactive Handbook, the internet, and other available Holt materials.
Novels from the Core List of sixth grade books will also be explored.
Grammar
Study of the mechanics of the English language. Holt Grammar Handbook and the Writing Handbook will be used. Both of these are passed out in class and are to be brought back the next day.
Writing
February writing will involve a good introduction and a good conclusion to our writing.
