My name is Ms. Tackaberry and this is my eigth year teaching. I taught
first grade for five years and this is my third year in Kinder. I have two
dogs (Kyoko and Stanley), two cats (Mr. Furley and Toots), and a turtle
(Ernie). I am super excited about this year and working with your kids as
well as all of you. This is a very exciting time for your kids and we want
it to be a memerable one! Working together we will be able to provide all
that they need to be successful!
I believe it is the role and responsibility of educators in schools to
provide an environment that the children will profit from. It is important
to have a foundation for which children can build on and turn into self-
success.
I think by creating an atmosphere with acceptance, one that focuses on
developmental needs, works on social skills, and provides a rich learning
environment is a good foundation to a well rounded classroom.
Encouraging each other in participation and cooperation, enhancing skills by
developing activities for inclusion, giving students a chance to find
security within themselves and building trust in others will help create an
atmosphere with acceptance.
By enhancing social needs, emotional needs, and challenging students in
every way possible will help enhance children’s developmental needs.
Social skills are another very important part of a well-rounded
classroom.
It is important to teach building skills needed for future roles
in society, enhance communication skills, build self-esteem and self-image,
as well as encourage students to build relationships with others.
Providing a rich learning environment is important to the students in the
classroom. It gives them a sense of ownership and a chance to shine.
I feel that each of these issues is the unique contribution to a well-
rounded classroom. It is important to provide a fun learning environment as
well as to set the students up for success.
